10thchurchofthelivingmuse Nowhere In Sight- Holy fcks. Just epic. epic. epic.

This just lands slap hits bangs... does a dance and goes back to its own timeframe.

One of those that I badly wish was 12 minutes and 37 seconds long. I'd still listen to it several times in a row.

Add Walnut Trees... I lived in them.. I played in them.. Modesto got even weirder somehow. Beautiful track and your voice, flying.

...final edit-never mind. The whole thing is incredible.

I should've just said thank you and left it at that ;) Favorite track: Nowhere In Sight.

Old Flowers 04:12
I wrote another song tonight, don’t even ask me why Because, if I ever knew why, I’d never even try I’m sad that I can’t talk to you, it’s just not meant to be I could never get to you, that always gets to me Don’t it seem like a thousand years can go by in just hours And I hope you, you won’t forget me now like a batch of old flowers And I hope it’s ok but I couldn’t stay There’s numbers on your telephone, you call them right away Think of me tomorrow — so far away I’m sad that I can’t talk to you but it’s just not meant to be I could never get to you and that always gets to me Don’t it seem like a thousand years can go by in just hours I hope you, you won’t forget me now like a batch of old flowers I hope it’s ok but I couldn’t stay I couldn’t stay, I couldn’t stay, I couldn’t stay…

Days go by There’s still time to open your eyes If there’s a road, a chance you feel that you can’t take That choice, you could have made, just fades away But if you’re wide awake Wide awake All of heaven and earth is a footprint in the dirt or a wrinkle in your shirt Do you know, do you know what that’s worth?

The List 03:49
We are bound by dreams They keep us together in this wind and rain Everything you've said and all the things you've done Keep you with us and make you live on and how many, how many how many... how many? Fortunes lost State lines crossed Secrets kept Walkways swept Blind obsessions True confessions Falling stars Abandoned cars Hearts you've broken Names you've spoken Crosses carried Friends you've buried Times you woke in the middle of the night Birds you've seenFlying in the sky, in the sky, in the sky....

To The Hills 03:50
My love has been taken away The one who has promised his name And green were the hills on that day Now the sun just seems lost in the gray I pray for you stay by my side But each night a piece of me dies I don’t know how to feel And I’m not who I thought I was I don’t know what’s real And I can’t let go of this love Give me a sign or something Just let me know that I’m not crazy Because I can tell that they don’t know what I’m talking about The ribbons have slipped from my braids And the wind keeps on chanting your name How I miss you when you are away Remember the promise you made I will never forget what you said That no one can have what we had I don’t know how to feel And I’m not who I thought I was I don’t know what’s real And I can’t let go of this love Give me a sign or something Just let me know that I’m not crazy I can tell that they don’t know what I’m talking about

The Fall 04:11
Long Days, hating pain so down, nothing’s gained go ahead, because you can’t go back - ever you cold hearted snake you took me for the best ride I ever had well it’s so weird I’m not even scared what I hold dear is not around here something’s gone, I guess it’s been too long when something goes wrong you know I’ll be the first one to feel the fall I want to be at peace now I feel like leaving town it’s like the old house like my heart is ripping down, just ripping down ripping down long days, hating pain so down, so down now nothing’s gained go ahead, because you can’t go back ever when something goes wrong you know I’ll be the first one to feel the fall the first one to feel the fall the first one to feel the fall

Standing out alone When I thought that I could make it In a way I knew it could never be Well now I’m back to chump change And I see how some could steal it Am I killing time or is it killing me? And oh I know the feeling To lose, to fail or be deceived And it’s all a big wheel And it keeps coming down To the ground that moves beneath me Have you seen the fire burning in the eyes of the doomed? living every moment like the next one is coming too soon They’ll cry when they finally get to the end But the end is nowhere in sight A knife is in my back but I don’t have time to feel it I could cry for a while if I wanted to It’s always what you do and not just if they see it The good and the bad comes back to you I try to make sense and I wonder Is it just a dime in the eyes of a con man? you know I believed Anita Is that really so hard to understand? Have you ever had a liar try so hard to tell you the truth They lie to you so well they think they got your hat, coat and Shoes Until one day they find that they can’t tell what’s real Part of me is gone Well I hope it wasn’t wasted because it took some time to learn How to leave in the end When the storm rolls in what a waste of time to fake it It’s too late to tell all my fairweather friends But now I’m coming home and this time I’ll make it Even if I’m bound for glory in a rental car~ I will carry all your secrets even though you couldn’t make it It’s too bad for us you couldn’t get that far Before we storm the gates tell me how you sleep through the night

Over and over Repeating the lines in your head You live in a past life, But don’t try to make sense of the dead I’ve seen the bones of your paramours, and they are not talking You know where this leads to, you’re just a dead man walking You better get it straight You’re not as steady as you think The rivers are rising You better learn to swim before you sink A man of letters, but they won’t arrange for you now So much for the bedroom, just lay your reasoning down Another pretender is stepping up to the throne Yes, but you wouldn’t surrender, so now you’re on top all alone All alone You better get it straight You’re not as steady as you think Well the rivers are rising You better learn to swim before you sink Run, run for your life, make for the border Pray for the souls of the innocent lives You stole with your orders You better get it straight You’re not as steady as you think And the rivers are rising You better learn to swim before you sink Yes, the waters are rising You better learn to swim before you Swim before you sink~

Walnut Trees 02:47
That was the night we sat beneath the walnut trees and old California is disappearing kind of like our lives and we knew it was the last time old California and the walnut trees The stars were so close you could touch them with your hand and the sky was so black I just knew we could never go back oh and you were all that I had left and I lost you too that sense of the world - so right when the light’s comin through kind of like my heart when it sees you, really sees you old California and the walnut trees Times change fast things don’t last lights go out and trees come down
9.
Shadows Disappear In the dark seeing you or not seeing at all the hardest part is this is seeing you and it'll burn away by itself and nothing you can do will help you build it up to pull it down you build it up to pull it down you build it up to pull it down the part you can't resist you can't give it a rest and the hardest part is this: seeing you and it'll burn away by itself and nothing you can do will help you build it up to pull it down you build it up to pull it down you build it up to pull it down and savor what is left I was born to fail your test the hardest part is this Seeing you...

Love 04:59
Love Love stings my pride When I realize Across the great divide Never once asked why Love Love robs me blind Then gives me wings to fly When I think I’ve lost my mind Arrives in time to save my life Love saved my life Love saved my life…
11.
Rearrange 03:43
Last night I heard you almost died And that’s how far apart we are I think of the years now more like miles And I can’t believe I’m still driving in this car Don’t, don’t take apart things you can’t change There’s, there’s still a part of you That just can’t stay away I’m always trying to tell you things I could never say like I’m shot down like a bird I guess I’m gonna leave here sometime next year And this might be the last song that you never heard I won’t take apart things I can’t change No I won’t take apart things I can’t change, change, change Oh but you know I might just take it with me If I can’t rearrange you know I might just take it with me now If I can’t rearrange…rearrange

And because life is nothing but surprise I'll turn myself around and say goodbye and close my eyes wait for the wave the one that washes over me takes me every time alone? Is that so? don't you see..... you are fire aren't you fortune itself don't you capture every spark as it lights your way? and outside it is hollow and inside is a garden and after it rains there's peace follow me Long live the days Oh stay or come back it's a secret, it's fragile, I know it's fractured but... but this is life sometimes it wraps itself around you and cries it's a road through a land out of time and I will hide, I will hide I'll get lost in the tall grass and make you come find me and there is nowhere to go kept safe, by what? we'll never know... let's you and I trip through the days we're here anyway... Long live the days long live the days...
